The Frequency of Fun
The Frequency of Fun
Play. Move. Make. Rave.
Where creativity runs wild on the dance floor. A playful night of making, moving and raving at Ridley Road Market Bar.
Full description
Ever wondered what happens when art meets the dance floor?
Join us at Ridley Road, one of East London’s most fun bars, with a brilliant sound system, for a new way to rave it up. This is an immersive evening of connection, creativity and movement, where you get to lose yourself in making something with your hands and then dance it into life.
How the night works
You’ll move through three rounds of playful making, guided by artist Eloisa Henderson-Figueroa and DJ Kata. Between each round, we shake it out with connection games, movement and a good dose of silliness, so you meet the people around you and stay out of your head.
Then comes the finale…
This is for you if
you’re curious and up for giving something a go
you haven’t picked up a pen, paint or scissors in years
you love to dance, or want to love it more
you want a night out that feels different
No art skills or dance experience needed. Come with an open mind and a willingness to play.
Bring a friend, or come alone and make some new ones.
Hosted by
Eloisa Henderson-Figueroa is a mural artist specialising in making the world a more joyful place through her artwork. She has worked with clients like Meta, Westfield and MINI, injecting colour into their projects and bringing the fun! Her workshops are all about inclusivity and showing that everyone can enjoy making art. She aims to build confidence through fun and play.
DJ Kata is the founder of Forgotten Fun, bringing playful and embodied experiences to workplaces, communities and individuals. She is also founder and resident DJ at Ecstatic Dance Culture, where she soundtracks joyful, multi genre dance journeys that get the whole room moving. Her philosophy is that when we give ourselves permission to play and move, we flow, and when we’re in flow, we come back to ourselves. Fun isn’t frivolous. It’s FUNdamental.
